Federal Reserve’s Cumming, Travelers’ Woodward Headline 2013 Economic Summit

Business Leaders, Economists Discuss State’s Economic Outlook at Annual Event

Federal Reserve Bank of New York vice president and COO Christine M. Cumming is the keynote speaker at the 2013 Economic Summit and Outlook on Friday, January 4, in Hartford.

Cumming will discuss the economic and financial outlook for the U.S. economy before an expected crowd of about 500 business executives at the Marriott Hartford Downtown.

In the opening address, Joan K. Woodward, executive vice president, public policy, for Travelers, will examine the federal deficit’s impact on the country’s economic competitiveness.

And Webster Bank economist Dr. Nicholas S. Perna will provide his 2013 economic forecast for Connecticut.

The region’s largest economic conference is presented by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association and the MetroHartford Alliance and sponsored by Webster Bank. Full program:
