The Connecticut Department of Labor released the latest unemployment figures today and CBIA Vice President and Economist Pete Gioia says there is positive news in the report:
1) Connecticut added 5,400 jobs in February
2) All but one area of the state reported positive job growth
3) There was an increase in hours worked
The only negative news is that the state’s unemployment rate is 9 percent, still above the national level of 8.9 percent.
